“Linda and Fiona, the warm welcome and attention to detail from start to finish was second to none. So inspirational. Using natural and sustainable materials in such creative ways has definitely got me rummaging in my compost heap! I will never look at my overgrown clematis in the same way again. I love my piece with lots of advice from Fiona of which I am still working on as adding some more of Linda’s tin work! G

“Thank you Linda and Fiona for your generous sharing of knowledge at Linda’s home in the beautiful area that is East Yorkshire. The food was excellent, the company inspiring… it was a perfect way to unwind and relax.” S

The agenda for future events is tbc - below is how our previous day unfolded:

Forging and ageing your own seasonal decorations out of recycled tin

Creating a flowing and seasonal table-scape together, using upcycled materials and natural, found and foraged ingredients around which we will eat lunch.

Weaving an unstructured, abundant and natural wreath

Hand crafting candle demonstration

Hearty, seasonal, three course lunch with delicious baked goodies and refreshments throughout the day, all made for us by Linda.

About fiona

Fiona is an artist, world-renowned floral designer and teacher; known for her wild, seasonal, sculptural designs that are inspired by her love of nature.

She embraces the imperfection and frailty of every ingredient she can acquire. Wispy tendrils, curling leaves, faded, imperfect blooms, quirky seed heads, all juxtapose beautifully with the drama and scale of her work. Working with the landscape & the wonderful, imperfect bounty it has to offer, she melds flowers, roots and leaves with the unlikely and overlooked. Creating pieces of art from small urns to large pieces of land art, incorporating rough, textured paper and books and using the earth, botanicals and rust to age and mark them further.

Internationally acclaimed and widely published, Fiona focuses on dramatic impact. A floral visionary and artist who brings an uncompromising approach to her work, be it her creative vision or her commitment to foam-free and sustainable florals.

Based in West Yorkshire, Fiona works around the UK and internationally. Past clients include The RHS, Sarah Raven, & Other Stories and Jo Malone London. She has been featured in The English Garden Magazine, Design Sponge and Aesthetica Botanica.

TV work includes Britain’s Best Home Cook, BBC1; All Creatures Great & Small, Ch5 and Gangs of London, Sky.
